In 2017 Verge:

Offered their first Equity contract to Shawn Knight for his amazing role in The Whale by Samuel D. Hunter

Produced two plays in repertory, Beneatha’s Place by Kwame Kwei Armah and The Whale by Samuel D. Hunter

Invited three amazing young artists to become our first Junior Advisory Board members; Laramie Hearn, Nyazia Martin, and Brooke Ferguson

Co-Produced our first show with the Belmont Theatre Department, Three Sisters by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Verge co-founder Dr. Jim Al-Shamma

Performed “Dear Writer” with some of our favorite local actors at Fenwick’s 300 with a special appearance from Peggy, the Parnassus Bookmobile

We look forward to seeing you in May and June as we begin production for our main season in the Belmont Black Box Theater. Verge will announce the directors and shows in February!
